Workplace, Group, Party, and Event Classes and Workshops
All-level and beginner yoga classes at your location designed to fit your needs. I always meet students where they are and take them to the next level. Special series arrangements are available for groups who want to commit for 4-, 6-, 8-, or more weeks. I offer workplace classes during the lunch hour. My group classes make yoga affordable and convenient. If you have the space at work or at home, fill it with yoga once a week. Great for one-day seminars, retreats, and workshops too! $120 per class group rate.
Some students must remain seated in a chair for most of the practice. Other students need to use the chair as a prop when they can’t get down to the mat. I specialize in teaching seniors and those with chronic conditions. From classes in a senior community to personal chair yoga training, the best modifications are always offered. Breathing is always emphasized and classes end with a seated relaxation/meditation. My goal is to prove that yoga is for everybody. Everyone can attain the benefits of yoga!
Private Yoga Coaching/Training:
Can’t fit classes into your schedule? Feel lost in a studio or gym class? Want personal attention to advance your practice? Make some time for yoga one-on-one. A special private session can build on your strengths, deepen your practice, and help you meet your goals. No need to wonder about your alignment or wish you knew how to do certain poses. The private will be especially designed for you after an interview. One hour session pricing: $70 for one person, $100 for two people.
I also offer special one-time instruction with materials for which is suitable for company or organization retreats or training seminars. Regular use of my handouts and training can make a big difference and increase productivity in the workplace. Rates depend on the length, size, and location of the event. Here are 10 Poses to Invigorate Your Day.
Yoga and the Spirit!
I offer a 4-week series specially designed for Christian churches. Each week begins with a Bible verse and breathing technique. The biblical theme is woven into the class. After a final relaxation and meditation, the class ends in prayer. Themes can include 1.) how yoga helps strengthen our Lenten discipline, 2.) discovery of the strong foundations in yoga and our lives, 3.) open hearts with back bends and scripture and 4.) finding calmness and health as directed in scripture. If desired the program can include partnering up and assisting each other as a community builder – terrific for retreats!
How I Teach
When I teach Yoga, Pranayama (breathing), & Meditation classes, I access my students’ needs and adjust to their abilities.
These days people always want to know what kind of yoga you practice. Personally I practice Baptiste-inspired Power, Vinyasa, and Hatha, but my training included studying many kinds of yoga such as prenatal and restorative. I enjoy teaching all levels of students.
My emphasis is always on creative, themed class sequences such as my successful Seated Chair Yoga for Seniors, Yoga the Art of the Body, Be a Part of the Art Yoga, Yoga for Sciatica, Yoga Without Arms, Yoga with Chairs as a prop, and Animal Yoga for Kids.
I find real joy in teaching yoga to beginners by giving them the ability to be intuitive about their practice instead of spending the whole time in their heads trying to remember and do the different body positions.
